Blooming bows

We've got flowers blooming all over here at sisters sassycrafts!  These flowers are so sweet tucked behind an ear, accenting a ponytail or updo, or clipped to your baby's headband or hat!

They also make the perfect accessory for a wedding or other special occasion!
sorry this picture is so blurry!  It must be because it hurt my eyes to look at it!  Please appreciate the fact that this bow
was very painful for me to make... I bled red and gold the entire time!  Ha!  It did turn out cute, even if it was the
wrong colors!

Contact us at sisterssassycrafts@gmail.com to order your flower today.  Because they're generally
special order, I'm not going to post a paypal link, however, I think I can bill you through paypal if you're interested in that!  Prices start at $5.00 and go up depending on size and material.

Have a fantastic Saturday!

Tuesday Tutorial: Chocolate Chunk Peanut Butter Swirl Fudgy Cookies

We all love cookies, and chocolate chips, and peanut butter.  Here we’re combining all 3…and trust me, it is good!  My kids and husband have devoured half the cookies already and I don’t even have the 3rd batch out yet!   These cookies really are quite simple, just watch the pictures and hopefully you’ll see how easy it is!   Yes, it will ruin your diet, but make it on the weekends.  They’re for splurging.  Or Tuesday, cause we all know about fat Tuesday, or Wednesday cause it’s hump day or Monday cause we all need a little extra boost on Monday or Thursday cause it’s my afternoon off and you all should celebrate with me or really, any day, cause there is always some excuse to eat a really good cookie!  Just make sure you have it with a big glass of milk cause we all know that anything you have with milk cancels out all calories, at least that is my excuse and I’m sticking to it so I can have another one of these before my family eats them all!

1 cup cocoa powder

4. Place flour, baking soda, and salt into a large bowl. Add to wet ingredients along with cocoa powder, and chocolate chunks, slowly mixing until just combined. Drop dollops of frozen peanut butter into dough and turn mixer on for just a few turns of the mixer to get swirls of peanut butter through the dough. With a medium cookie scoop, scoop dough out and divide dough in half .  Put torn edge of half of the ball onto the cookie sheet and top that with other half, torn edge down (see picture).

Tuesday Tutorial.... Wrinkle Releaser!!!!

I love, love, LOVE wrinkle releaser.  Unfortunately, when you have a family of 4 using it on  ALMOST EVERYTHING, it gets kind of spendy...

My Darling Husband suggested that maybe I cut down or stop buying it, but I just can't give it up... so I had an ah-hah! moment one night... Figure out how to make it myself!!!

As with almost everything I decide I'm going to learn how to make, I searched the internet for recipes.  After reading about 10 recipes/suggestions, this is what I came up with:

Supplies:

Spray  bottle - there are several options for this.  My original recipe is to use the original wrinkle releaser bottle... this is about 33 oz.  But for those of you who do NOT have an original bottle, I also will include instructions for a smaller size (16 oz)
funnel (handy for pouring ingredients into the bottle (optional)
-. bottle of liquid fabric softner, any size, scent, brand.  I use the generic brand from Target.
-  water

1.  Start out with an empty spray bottle.  Make sure it does the wide "mist" spray!
2.  If you are using the big 33 oz bottle, pour in 1 capful of fabric softner.  If you are using the 16 oz bottle, pour in 1/2 a capful.

3.  Fill the rest of the bottle with water
4.  put lid on and shake

That's it!  You now have a handy dandy bottle of wrinkle releaser!

NOW, for those of you who have never been introduced to the magic of wrinkle releaser, this is how you use it.
1.  start with wrinkled clothing.  If you haven't done so already, test an inside, unnoticable piece of fabric to make sure it's going to be colorsafe.  I haven't had an issue with this, but it doesn't hurt to be careful!  If you do have a problem, you might want to try watering down your solution, or try a different brand of fabric softener.
2.  Making sure your bottle is set to "mist", hold the bottle away (6-10 inches) from the clothing, and lightly mist the whole item.  I like to do this when it's hanging, but you could also lay it flat.  If you overspray, you may leave some reisdue, so make sure you are spraying in a safe place.
3.  Once you have misted your clothes and they are damp, lightly stretch the clothes or smooth out the wrinkles (sometimes all it needs is a good shake).  That's it!  You can leave it hang to dry, blow dry it a bit, or if not too damp just throw it on (that's what I always do!)

That's all there is to it!  I love it because it saves so much time, cuts down on most wrinkles ** unless they are "really set in", and SMELLS great.  The best part of making it myself is I can pick what scent I want to use!  I have also used it to press things, like my pants, and have had fabulous results with this, too!

Hope you enjoy!!
