Tuesday Tutorial: Flour Construction!

So the weather has been exceptionally nice here, but there have been a few days where it is just too cold to go outside.  My son loves to farm and dig in the dirt, so we came up with a cleaner version for in the house, which he has been begging for ever since I spilled a ton of flour on the flour and let him play in it awhile before cleaning it all up.

We found an empty smaller Rubbermaid type container with a lid, dumped in a bunch of flour and added some of his favorite diggers, bulldozers, tractors and wagons.  He has been having a ball!  And the best part, it’s fairly easy to clean!  Just use a dry towel on their hands and clothes and a sweep or hand vacuume for any flour spilled, which in his case is very little!  Later in the year we may switch the flour out for some soybeans or corn, but for now it’s all very entertaining to him.  Other bonus, all the diggers and equipment have made it safely through the dishwasher!
